Any activity carried out by the Church community, that directly or indirectly deepens faith, hope and love in families, nurtures families in living the life of discipleship of Jesus, and supports families in their ministering to others, falls within the area of Family Ministry.

The office also provides support for those who are experiencing loss in their lives, and provides bereavement support for both adults and adolescents.

Training in parenting and other family enrichment programmes enables the establishment and development of support groups throughout the diocese.
