Communications Office

The Communications Office provides a communications service on behalf of the Diocese and various diocesan committees and seeks to develop ways of effectively communicating the message of the Gospel by utilising the various media.

The service includes:
  • Responding to requests from local media for comments and interviews on issues pertaining to doctrine, scripture, liturgy, ethics and the social teaching of the Church.
  • Seeking to ensure effective communication of Pastoral letters and important information from Bishop's house.
  • Communicating regularly with local media to ensure balanced coverage of Church affairs
  • Supporting a religious affairs programme called 'Faith Matters' which is broadcast each Sunday morning at 7.04am on WLR fm.

The communications office is at St. John's Pastoral Centre, John's Hill, Waterford.

Please contact Fr. Liam Power at 051-874199.
